Health24 reports on OHRI study of folic acid and preeclampsia

reports on an OHRI study showing that pregnant women who take multivitamins containing folic acid (vitamin B9) are less likely to develop preeclampsia, a leading cause of maternal and infant illness and death worldwide. These results are expected to be the first of many important findings from the Ottawa and Kingston (OaK) birth cohort study.
