Research Interests

Dr. Fahed is interested in cerebrovascular diseases (both ischemic and hemorrhagic), stroke imaging, and neuroendovascular procedures.

He performs several types of research studies, including literature (systematic) reviews, cohort studies, and accuracy/agreement studies. He is also involved in research methodology and publishes methodological and ethical papers about randomized trials.

Brief Biography

Dr. Fahed is a interventional Neuroradiologist and Stroke Neurologist at The Ottawa Hospital, and Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa. He was also appointed as an Associate Scientist in the Neuroscience Program at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute November 2019.

Dr. Robert Fahed obtained the majority of his training and degrees in France. He has a Masters Degree in Vascular Biology and is in process of completing his PhD. He completed his Medical Degree at the University of Pierre and Marie Currie in Paris France in 2011 and followed this with his Neurology specialty in 2015 as well in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Neuroradiology, and a Diploma in Expertise in Cerebrovascular Diseases. He currently holds a Department of Medicine Research Chair and a Richard Clinical Research Fellowship. He has over 130 contributions, including 128 publications, 4 books with mainly primary and co-author publications.
