Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Clinical Research Assistant I (CRAI) in our Emergency Medicine Research Program, one of the most active and productive emergency medicine research programs in Canada. The successful candidate will be involved in several investigator-initiated studies. The primary role will be recruitment of study participants in both emergency departments at The Ottawa Hospital.
Key Responsibilities include:
•Recruit participants into all ongoing program studies - *must be available for evenings/weekends
•Assist Study Leads with remote monitoring of all national study sites
•Assist Study Leads with ongoing communication with sites to ensure compliance with study protocols
•Assist with data collection, data entry, data cleaning, follow-up of various studies
•Assist with study start-up activities (regulatory documents, training)
Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):
•Secondary school diploma
•Less than 1 year of experience
•Experience with MS Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook
•Evidence of training certification in Tri-council Policy Statement -2 (TCPS-2) and the International Conference on Harmonisation – Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP)
•Evidence of training in Food and Drug Regulations, Division 5, and/or Device Regulations, as applicable
•Superior organizational and time management skills
•Ability to work independently and as a team member
•Adheres to confidentiality policy for sensitive patient data information
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bilingual preferred (English/French)
•Clinical research experience
•Familiarity with database software
Contract Details:
This is a full-time contract.
Salary: Min: $22.471/hr. - Max: $29.962/hr.
