Aleisha Fernandes
Aleisha Fernandes is a Research Assistant for the Office for Patient Engagement in Research Activities (OPERA) at the Ottawa Methods Centre. Her background includes working with several health units within BC, Ontario, and the Yukon on various research projects to improve healthcare services. She holds a MSc in Public Health Sciences (specializing in Epidemiology) from Queens’ University and a BSc (Hons) in Health Sciences with Kinesiology and Health Ethics Minor from Simon Fraser University. She also received her Expressive Arts Therapy certification from the Winnipeg Holistic Expressive Arts Therapy Institute and is passionate about incorporating arts-based methods into research.
