Job Description
Dr. Ardolino's Lab at OHRI/University of Ottawa is seeking a talented and motivated post-doctoral fellow to join our team focused on harnessing the immune system's power against prostate cancer.

About Us:
We are a collaborative group of 11 researchers at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, affiliated with the University of Ottawa. Our lab is well-funded through CIHR and various cancer research foundations. We maintain a productive and positive work environment that balances scientific rigor with a supportive team atmosphere.

What You'll Do:
•Lead research projects investigating the immune responses against prostate cancer.
•Mentor and train junior lab members in research techniques and experimental design.
•Contribute to manuscript preparation and grant writing activities

What We're Looking For:
•PhD in Immunology, Cancer Biology, or a related field.
•Experience in tumor immunology and/or immune cell characterization.
•A self-motivated researcher who brings both expertise and enthusiasm to our expanding team.
•Someone who values collaboration and can thrive in our dynamic research environment

Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):
•PhD
•Experience working with mice
•Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
•PhD in immunology, cancer immunology or prostate cancer.
•Experience with mouse models of prostate cancer.
•Experience with high dimensional flow cytometry.
•Experience with scRNA sequencing However, don't worry about knowledge gaps! We provide thorough training in all required techniques and approaches, allowing you to build on your existing expertise.

Contract Details:
This is a 1-year full-time contract with the possibility of renewal.
Minimum Stipend/ Salary: $27.024/hr
