Job Description
The Research Data Assistant will support the Hematology Research Program by ensuring accurate and timely entry of study data across thrombosis, malignant, and benign hematology portfolios. Working under the direction of the Research Program Manager and in collaboration with study coordinators and the QA Lead, this position is responsible for maintaining high-quality data within sponsor and institutional databases. The role focuses primarily on industry-sponsored clinical trials with expansion to academic and investigator-initiated studies as capacity allows.

Key Responsibilities:
•Enter source-verified clinical data into electronic data capture (EDC) systems in accordance with study protocols, sponsor timelines, and institutional SOPs.
•Track data entry progress across assigned studies and report outstanding items or discrepancies to study coordinators.
•Respond to and resolve data queries in collaboration with coordinators and QA.
•Assist with ongoing data review and quality checks to ensure consistency and completeness.
•Maintain accurate documentation of data entry activities and contribute to audit readiness.
•Support study start-up activities by reviewing EDC requirements and preparing study binders or trackers as needed.
•Support research staff with pathology and imaging requests for central review.

Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):
•Diploma or degree in health sciences, life sciences, or a related field.
•Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and SharePoint.
•Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills.
•Familiarity with ICH-GCP guidelines, Division 5 regulations, and institutional research policies.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Prior experience with EPIC EMR is an asset
•Experience with clinical research or data entry in a regulated environment preferred.
•Strong familiarity with medical terminology and clinical documentation is an asset.
•Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in clinical research, preferably within an academic hospital or industry-sponsored setting.
•Demonstrated experience entering and maintaining data in Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems

Contract Details:
This is a full-time contract.
Salary: Min: $22.471/hr. - Max: $29.962/hr.
