The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI) is the research arm of The Ottawa Hospital and an affiliated institute of the University of Ottawa. The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) currently ranks as the fourth hospital in Canada for research, with its research institute generating approximately $130 million in annual research funding, nearly 10,000 patients participating in clinical trials and more than a dozen spinoff companies. TOH’s growing leadership in research fuels world class patient care and plays a critical role in attracting top talent and funding.

We are investigating major diseases and conditions, with a focus on answering important health questions and translating our findings into benefits for patients and society. We are committed to an inclusive and socially responsible environment for research, learning and collaboration, enabled by strong corporate governance.
