Brief Biography
Carl’s research focuses on quality improvement, continuity of care/information, and administrative database research. His research has received much attention including his work on an index to predict early death or unplanned readmission after discharge from hospital. He has over 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Carl has also been the recipient of several prestigious awards recognizing his work within the field of health services research, including the Ontario Ministry of Health Career Scientist Award and the Premier Research Excellence Award.
