Job Description
The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Assistant II for a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension. The individual will be responsible for patient recruitment, data collection, data entry, and ethics submissions for a multitude of ongoing clinical research trials under the general direction of Scientists, Research Coordinators, and the Research Program Manager. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who works well in a fast-paced team environment.

Tasks include but are not limited to:
•Data collection and data entry
•Screening, recruitment, enrolment, and follow-up of study participants
•Close communication with surgeons, principal investigators, and other members of the research team
•Research ethics board submissions
•Assistance with manuscript and abstract submissions
•Assistance with the grant submission process
•Liaising with various TOH departments, REB/contracts office, sponsors, and external collaborators.

Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):
•Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field
•2 years of prior research experience.
•Superior communication and interpersonal skills
•Excellent organizational and planning skills
•Attention to detail
•Ability to work independently and as a team member
•Strong computer skills: MS Word, Outlook, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience working in a healthcare setting
-Knowledge of Orthopaedics

Contract Details:
This is a 1-year full time position with the possibility of renewal.
Salary: Min: $25.842/hr.- Max: $34.455/hr.
