The Neuroscience Program presents
Molecular strategies for wiring neurons into circuits
Speaker: Julie Lefebvre, PhD
Senior Scientist in the Neurosciences and Mental
Health Program, Assistant Professor of Molecular
Genetics, University of Toronto
Medicine, Dept. of Biomedical & Molecular Sciences
Location: Hybrid In Person RGN Room 2003 and ZOOM
Please contact Nancy MacDonald at nmacdonald@toh.ca for the link

Hosted by Dr. Simon Chen

Learning Objectives

 1. Learn about principles of neural circuit formation, and the importance
of studying candidate wiring molecules and unbiased neural tracing
methods to understand how the brain is precisely wired.
2. Learn about how cell adhesion molecules belonging to the
Protocadherin family regulate patterns of neuronal connectivity.
3. Learn about a new method for labeling interconnected 3. neurons in vivo.

Please note that OHRI seminars are open to all members of OHRI and partner institutions. Members of the general public are asked to contact the communications office (jganton@ohri.ca) for more information about the research presented at OHRI seminars.
