Research Week at The Ottawa Hospital
November 10 – 14, 2025
Get ready for a whole week dedicated to research at The Ottawa Hospital!
Research Week celebrates all the trainees, research staff, scientists, clinicians and hospital staff who make research possible, as well as the patients who participate in studies and provide inspiration.
If you want to learn more about the groundbreaking research taking place at The Ottawa Hospital, present a poster, refine your research skills, network, or win a trainee prize, Research Week has something for you. Research Week is also an opportunity to learn more about the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI) - the research engine driving discovery, conducting clinical trials and defining the best care across the hospital and around the world.
All members of The Ottawa Hospital/OHRI are invited to participate in Research Week.

Research is Care
Show your support for research by wearing a “Research is Care” button, available at all Research Week events, as well as at booths near the cafeterias.
“At The Ottawa Hospital, we are embracing the vision that research is care, and should be integrated into everything we do,” says Dr. Rebecca Auer Executive Vice-President, Research and Innovation at The Ottawa Hospital and CEO and Scientific Director of OHRI. “Research is our hope for a better future. This hope is not only central to our patients in their journey but to all the staff who care for them.”
“Through our leading-edge research, innovation and education, we continue to find new ways to dramatically improve health outcomes for our community, and to elevate our leadership role globally,” says Cameron Love, President and CEO, The Ottawa Hospital.
Departments and teams throughout the hospital are also encouraged to take the opportunity during Research Week to recognize all members of the team who contribute to research.
