Groundbreaking International Scientific Collaboration to be announced at Ottawa Press Conference on May 5th

Canada is spearheading a groundbreaking collaboration between leading scientists that will likely lead to important breakthroughs in the fight against many debilitating diseases.

Included in the press conference:
  • Dr. Michael Rudnicki, Senior Scientist and Program Director of Molecular Medicine at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and conference director, Canada
  • Dr. Jack Greenblatt, Professor Banting and Best Department of Medical Research, University of Toronto, Canada
  • Dr. Irwin Davidson, Director of Research, Institut de Génétique et de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire, France
  • Dr. Bing Lim, Senior Group Leader, Genome Institute of Singapore
  • Dr. Roberto Di Lauro, Dr. Roberto Di Lauro, Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, Italy
  • Dr. Kevin Struhl, Professor in the Department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, Harvard, U.S.A.

Each of these scientists is world renown in the field of genomics.

The press conference will be held in the Laurier Room at the Marriott Hotel, 100 Kent Street, Ottawa at 12:30 p.m.

The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, which is leading the discussions, is the research arm of The Ottawa Hospital and the University of Ottawa's Medical Faculty.
