Dr. Jenna Gale is a reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) subspecialist. After completing her bachelor degree and medical school at McGill University, she then completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and two year fellowship in REI at the University of Ottawa.

Dr. Gale is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa, an attending physician at the Ottawa Hospital and consultant physician at the Ottawa Fertility Centre since 2018. Dr. Gale is also certified in obstetrics and gynecology ultrasound by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. She is an active member of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Gale completed her Master of Science in Epidemiology through the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2021. She is the appointed Research Director at the Ottawa Fertility Centre and Resident Research Co-Lead for the University of Ottawa Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. She is passionate about the pursuit of research in the field of fertility with the ultimate goal to improve the provision of fertility care and fertility treatment outcomes. Current ongoing research projects are aimed at further evaluating the impact of gynecologic disorders, including endometriosis, as well as the impact of a prior cesarean delivery on fertility outcomes, and studies aimed at improving care for members of the LGBTQ+ community accessing fertility services. Dr. Gale has presented her research in the fields of gynecology and fertility at national and international conferences. She is recipient of a Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) SEED grand award in 2019, and more recently of a CanSAGE grant award in 2023 for a research study aimed at increasing the detection of endometriosis among fertility patients.

Dr. Gale currently holds funding as a principal investigator from the Canadian Society for the Advancement of Gynecologic Excellence for the implementation of a simple scanning protocol into routine ultrasound to increase detection of endometriosis in a fertility population.

She also is a recent recipient of a PSI Foundation New Investigator Award for studying the impact of endometriosis on IVF outcomes and the patient experience.
