Dr. Joseph A Brzezinski IV

Associate Professor and Director of Research, Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Eye Center

Seminar details

Dr. Brzezinski's research focuses on the genetic mechanisms controlling retinal development and the differentiation of specific retinal cell types, particularly photoreceptors (rods and cones). His work aims to understand how cell fates are determined in the retina, which is crucial for developing stem cell-based therapies for blinding diseases like macular degeneration. Hosted by Pierre Mattar.
