Job description

Alkherayf Clinical Research Group is seeking a highly motivated individual to support a range of ongoing research projects. The Clinical Research Assistant II will contribute to manuscript preparation, obtain patient consent, perform data analysis, and prepare research ethics documentation, including full-board REB submissions, renewals, and amendments. This role focuses on projects in neurosurgery and clinical epidemiology and will also include additional research administrative responsibilities, such as data entry, data analysis, and study coordination.

Basic Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of clinical research experience in a health-related discipline.
  • Post-secondary education in a health-related field or equivalent experience in a research environment.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed individual with strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in obtaining informed consent from research participants.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proof of training and certification in the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS 2) and the International Council for Harmonization-Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) guidelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple neurosurgery-related research projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience working in a clinical research environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with data entry, data analysis, grant applications, and manuscript writing.
  • Experience preparing and submitting documentation to Research Ethics Boards (REB).
  • Experience working in healthcare settings, including direct interaction with patients.
  • Working knowledge of EPIC electronic medical record systems for chart review and data entry.

Contract Details

This is a full-time contract.

Salary
Salary: Min: $25.842/hr - Max: 34.455/hr
