Job description
We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Masters or PhD student in the Department of Cellular & Molecular Medicine to join our growing research team. The primary project will be translational and will involve the use of progenitor cells to regenerate cartilage in a mouse model of osteoarthritis. Techniques will include tissue culture, flow cytometry, small animal surgery, histology, and the potential for “omics” data acquisition and analysis. The candidate will be encouraged to lead the project but will be well-supported, co-supervised by Dr. Mark Campbell, OHRI Clinician Investigator and University of Ottawa Associate Professor as well as Dr. Lynn Megeney, OHRI Senior Scientist and University of Ottawa Professor. We anticipate that the results of this project will move us towards our ultimate goal of curing osteoarthritis, the world’s most common musculoskeletal disease.

- Undergraduate Science Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Laboratory experience in tissue culture and small animal experiments.

Salary
Minimum Annual Stipend for MSc is $24,829, and PhD is $28,067
