Bio

I graduated from Sherbrooke University Medical School in 1993. I completed my residency in Pediatrics in 1997 at the same institution. After practicing in the community for 18 months, I completed sub-specialty training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine in 2000 at McMaster University. I then joined the Division of Neonatology at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and The Ottawa Hospital in 2001. I am additionally a Clinical Investigator at the CHEO Research Institute and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Ottawa.

Research Goals and Interests

Clinical trials in neonatology (particular interest in lung health, surfactant delivery and non-invasive methods of respiratory support) as well as systematic reviews and enhancing the care to the extremely low gestational infant.

I am involved in neonatal clinical trials, with a particular interest in the lung (non-invasive ventilation, surfactant delivery).  Over the last 10 years, I have authored several systematic reviews.  Over the last 10 years, I have been leading a multi-disciplinary group looking at enhancing our care to extremely low gestational age infants (born before 26 weeks).
