Anubhav Agarwal, Supervisee Position: MPH Student, Supervisee Institution: School of Epidemiology and Public Health, University of Ottawa. Clinical outcomes and medical care costs associated with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and lymphoma in Ontario. Awards: QE II Graduate Scholarships in Science and Technology, DSECT.

Anubhav Agarwal (Clinical Research Assistant II)
Anubhav worked on several HERO group research projects from 2019 to 2024. Including a real-world observational study on the clinical outcomes and health system costs associated with leukemia and lymphoma care in Ontario, a threshold economics analysis of one-day donor evaluation for kidney transplantation among end-stage kidney disease patients in Ontario and a systematic review of economic evaluations of CAR-T cell therapies for patients with hematological and solid malignancies.

Golnaz Amidpour (BioCanRX Summer Student, Summer 2023)
Golnaz worked on a project focused on the Health Technology Assessment for Cancer Biotherapeutics in Dr. Thavorn's team as part of the BioCanRx Summer Studentship Award.  

Olivia D'Silva (Clinical Research Assistant II, 2025-2026)
Olivia assisted with several projects including DEEP-ENGAGE and UPLIFT.

Chelsea Jang (Clinical Research Assistant, 2025-2026)
Chelsea assisted with several projects including an economic evaluation of Ottawa Public Health’s Sexual Health Clinic and the use of mathematical modelling to understand the population health impacts of AMR policies. 

Kathryn Kalinowsky (Clinical Research Assistant, 2025-2026)
Kathryn worked on a return-on-investment analysis of rapid access addiction medicine (RAAM) clinics for opioid use disorder in Ontario, as well as a return-on-investment analysis of Ottawa Public Health Sexual Health Services.

Naazish Shariff (Clinical Research Assistant II, 2021-2023)
Naazish worked on the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) funded project Understanding preferences for substance use health services for problematic alcohol use during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Andrew Scarffe (Health Economist, 2023-2025)
Dr. Andrew Scarffe conducted economic evaluations and decision analytic modeling for various innovative and novel health interventions (including early health economic evaluations).

Emily Thompson (Clinical Research Assistant III, 2021-2025)
Emily provided valuable support for patient engagement projects and economic evaluations related to chronic diseases such as cancer and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Emily is a highly qualified epidemiologist with an MSc in Epidemiology and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Ottawa.
