Dr. Maxime Rousseaux

Associate Professor, Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, University of Ottawa, Co-Director, uOttawa Genome Engineering and Molecular Biology (GEM) Facility

Seminar details

Rousseaux's lab seeks to understand the molecular mechanisms that underlie the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease (PD) and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). With a focus on toxic protein mislocalization, the lab employs next generation screening technologies coupled to animal modeling to better understand the cause of protein mislocalization. Our ultimate goal is to help the patient population by identifying new therapeutic avenues for these disorders.
