Job description

The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Assistant I for a temporary position to assist with our internal quality improvement database (ConEHR).  This position will be located at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus. The individual will be responsible primarily for communicating with patients over the phone to ensure smooth data collection in addition to compiling data for various reports and studies. 

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Contact patients via phone and/or email to assist with questionnaire completion and ensure consenting process is completed.
  • Managing patient lists and compliance tracking
  • Data entry into the database
  • Completing data requests for purposes of QI reports or studies.
  • Providing regular updates on data collection
  • Assisting with other database-related tasks.

Basic Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a health science related field
  • TCPS-2 and ICH-GCP training
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills 
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills: MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Data analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health or administrative field
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Bilingual (French and English)

Contract Details

This is a full-time contract.

Salary
Min: $22.977/hr - Max: $30.636/hr
