Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Assistant (Level 1) to support clinical research for Department of Nephrology at the Ottawa Hospital and the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. The work will focus on management of clinical data from Canadian multicentre interventional trial with the objective of improving the outcome of patients with acute renal failure in the intensive care setting. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a team environment, have excellent attention-to-detail, and be able to work with limited supervision once trained. The successful candidate will be provided opportunities for skillset development, academic publication and career advancement based on outstanding performance.
Basic Requirements
- Secondary diploma in a health-related field
- Certification in ICH-GCP, TCPS-2 and Health Canada's Division 5 regulations
- Time management skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Flexibility to accommodate periodic demanding deadlines
- Experience with recruitment, consent and data collection for research studies
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data and protocol requirements
- Computer literacy and knowledge of software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Excellent communication skills with members of the multi-disciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical research environment
- Experience conducting systematic or scoping reviews
- Knowledge of both official languages
- Knowledge of data management
- Knowledge of statistical analysis
- Previous research experience, publications
- Experience with ethics board procedures/applications
- Experience with clinical trials and large databases
Contract Details
This is a full-time contract.
Salary
Min: $22.977/hr - Max: $30.636/hr
