Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated student to join our team in a unique cross-functional role supporting both Human Resources and Finance. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various facets of HR and financial management and operations. 

Key Responsibilities Include

Human Resources                                                                                                                                                              

  • Support recruitment activities including job postings, onboarding and offboarding processes. 
  • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems (e.g OHRI specific databases and HRIS) as well as electronic filing.
  • Support the development of job descriptions.
  • Assist with enrolment in Employee Learning Modules for new hires
  • Assist with IT requests

    Finance

  • Maintain and update accounting records in the Finance database
  • Updating signing authority sheets
  • Assist with other finance duties
     

Basic Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Must be returning to school in Fall 2026.
  • Strong interest in business with a focus on HR and Finance functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency in MS suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with HRIS and financial system is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-directed and motivated

Contract Details

This is an 8-week full-time contract (37.5 hours/ week)

Salary: $17.60/hr
