Research Goals and Interests

Use of population-level health administrative data to evaluate impact and costs of current paradigms of care as it relates to inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and colorectal cancer prevention

Development of predictive tools for use in clinical practice and with studies that use health administrative data

Quality of care in IBD and colonoscopy

 

Active Areas of Research:
1. Use of population-level health administrative data to evaluate clinical and cost-effectiveness of current paradigms of care as it relates to inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and colorectal cancer prevention
2. Development of administrative definitions of IBD activity for use with Ontario health administrative data
3. Studies of quality of care relating to IBD and colonoscopy
4. Development of clinical prediction rules for colonoscopy and hospital re-admissions
