Equipment
Core users are charged an hourly fee for access to all consumables and instruments required to culture and maintain healthy hPSC. The hourly fee ($15 / hr.) is charged on users booking of our BSC and include use of the following additional equipment:
- Biological safety cabinets (4)
- Tri-gas incubators set to Hypoxic (3), normoxic (2), and sensitive cell incubators (1). These incubators monitor and maintain O2, CO2, humidity, and temperature that allows for consistent, reliable culturing conditions that most closely resemble in-vivo microenvironments.
- Dissecting microscopes under Laminar flow hoods for convenient cell cleaning and manipulation. Users can manually select pluripotent colonies while maintaining sterility.
- Controlled rate freezer to maximizes cell recovery, saving time and money down stream.
- Automated cell counter (Countess 3) with reusable slides, significantly reducing waste.
- 24/7 access, and personal storage space at room temperature, 4⁰C and -20⁰C.
We also offer equipment for additional charges:
Lonza Nucleofector 4D Core & X-unit
“The NucleofectorTM Technology uses a specific combination of optimized electrical parameters and cell type-specific solutions which enables transfer of a molecule directly into the cells’ nucleus. Due to this independency from cell proliferation, it allows for efficient transfection of even non-dividing primary cells (like resting T cells or neurons) and speeds up expression.” Click here for more information
