Bio

Dr. Purssell graduated from medical school at the University of British Columbia in 2017, which was followed by an internal medicine residency in Ottawa. He was Chief Medical Resident of Internal Medicine from 2019 to 2020. After three years of internal medicine, he did his Infectious disease residency at the University of Ottawa until 2022. He then did a Transplant and Oncology Infectious disease Fellowship at the University of Toronto until 2024. In 2025, Dr Purssell joined the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine at The Ottawa Hospital. His research is focused on (Insert Research Focus). Dr Purssell is currently a Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Ottawa, an Associate Scientist in the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.
