Marta G. Zanchi, Ph.D. is the Founder and Managing Partner of Nina Capital, an international venture capital firm specializing in pre-seed and seed-stage healthcare technology investments. She possesses a deep technical and academic background in medical systems development and health technology innovation, having spent years engaging in academic endeavors at Stanford University before transitioning to venture capital. Along the way, she founded numerous programs and innovation initiatives, as well as a medical device company that ultimately IPO'd in the NASDAQ (RNXT). Through Nina Capital, Dr. Zanchi has invested in and guided multiple university spinoffs, partnering with founders to bring complex health technologies from the lab to the market. Her unique perspective, combining academic rigor with the strategic lens of a seasoned early-stage investor, enables her to identify and support the critical success factors necessary for academic innovations to succeed as commercial enterprises.
