Researchers at The Ottawa Hospital awarded four NSERC grants worth $845,000
Researchers at The Ottawa Hospital have been awarded $845,000 from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada through the Discovery Research Program to lead four cutting-edge research projects.
This program recognizes the creativity and innovation that are at the heart of all research advances.
The projects will advance science and improve health in areas such as cancer imaging, cancer-fighting viruses, and brain and eye development.
The new grants were announced on July 7, 2026 as part of a larger funding announcement from Minister of Industry Mélanie Joly.
