Parkinson Research Consortium
The Parkinson Research Consortium was set up in Ottawa with the goal to be an incubator for innovative ideas in Parkinson's disease research.
Since 2004, researchers and clinicians with diverse scientific talents and expertise in genetics, molecular biology, neuroscience and patient care have been working together at the Parkinson Research Consortium (PRC).
Our vision is to bring together a complimentary group of individuals whose purpose is to understand how the disease unfolds and to improve care, as well as treatment options for patients.
The PRC does that by promoting and encouraging synergistic interactions between scientists, clinicians, our young researchers of tomorrow and the community at large.
"Working collaboratively, our goal is to improve patient care, well-being and symptom management for those living with Parkinson disease. The PRC allows us to take a huge step in that direction."
